Pharmacy's micromanager writes up employee for pants that aren't 'black enough,' so employee goes to Hot Topic to change: '[I became] a goth girl in my mid-forties'

• She went to work and her micromanager took one look at her and decided to write her up for pants that weren't dark enough. Annoyed, the employee went to Hot Topic that night. That's right, the early aughts meca for goth aesthetic. She bought an entire black ensemble, even some skull accessories, and turned to her local goth for help with the makeup. When she went to work, her micromanager was aghast, but she technically wasn't breaking any rules. So she couldn't do anything. PLUS, that manager got in trouble for not “smiling” enough that day. It was a beautiful day for the goths.
